So I was doing some nursery cleaning this week (which also means eliminating my lovely scrapbook room) and I came across some extra kits to make this sparkly banner. I originally taught this class for $20 at Picture Me Perfect but I am selling the leftover kits now for only $10. 

Each kit comes with all the yummy goodies needed to make this glittery piece including some vintage sheet music and a whole pack of AC thickers and instructions.

cause i sure wish i had...

it's one of those tasks that I always put off doing, and now mine are all gone.

the power went out the other day and my mac wasn't plugged into a surge protector so the entire hard drive was fried. nothing is there anymore. there wasn't really anything too important in terms of documents and programs but I lost the past 3 years worth of photos. i'm pretty depressed about it. most of them have been commemorated in a scrapbook page so that's good, however there were a lot that weren't. 

i guess this was a good lesson to learn now... before baby... as it would really be bad to lose like the picture of the babies first bath or something like that....

Red is the new Black

Is it just me, or don't you just love it when all the cups become red at Starbucks.... it makes me happy every year....

are ya sick of baby stuff yet?

cause I'm sooo not, so I hope anyone who reads my blog isn't totally over all the baby stuff...

I'm bidding on these vintage records over at ebay. If I win I want to frame the sleeves in the nursery. I think they are so charming and something that he can grow into as well. Plus, I am trying to keep everything in there pretty gender neutral so if the next little one is a girl I won't have to re-do everything...

oh who am I kidding, by the time we do this again I'm sure I will end up re-doing lots of it...

Well, I guess I should keep cleaning that room out so I can actually get the baby's stuff moved in there one of these days...

Jack is Home!

He came home from the hospital last Thursday and is doing awesome... already sleeping in 4 hr blocks which is making his lovely parents quite happy.

He is just the most adorable baby and oh so tiny. I can't get enough of him. It's making me pretty excited for our own little one to join the world.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers about Jack and his family. We all appreciate the support.

missing my polly bleeker...

i figured as opposed to trying to hide the ever growing belly in a halloween costume, i might as well make it part of the costume... and the result... my attempt at Juno. Too bad I couldn't convince Ron to go as Polly Bleeker... those yellow running shorts just weren't tempting enough for him... We just hung out with a friend for the evening and passed out candy while watching the world series. ahhh... our last "adult" halloween...

Welcome Baby Jack

My best friend Angi welcomed her son, Jack Jeffrey Busick into the world on Thursday October 22.

Things didn't quite as planned as baby Jack was 3 weeks early and came via c-section due to some unforeseen complications. However the new mom is now home and doing well and Jack will should be coming home in the next few days as he is getting stronger every day.

His birthday was an emotional day for everyone as not only was he only 5lb 4oz but there were also concerns of a heart problem and most likely a diagnosis of Down syndrome (the official blood work comes back on monday).

However, each day brings new hope as Jack gets stronger. Today we were told he was being taken off the IV antibiotics, his jaundice had cleared and the heart ultra sounds came back negative. 

I have been best friends with Angi since 8th grade and we have shared every detail of our pregnancies. My heart has been so heavy as I watch my friend go through such an emotional time, but I am amazed at her grace, composure and optimism. 

Jack is truly blessed to have Angi and her husband John for parents. I know they are going to be amazing and he really couldn't have chosen a better family to join.

Please keep Jack and the rest of the Busicks in your thoughts and prayers as they begin this new journey.
