i first saw this nursery at modern kiddo. it belongs to Jenny's daughter Dotty of Frecklewonder. Isn't it so fun and bright and the perfect mix of new and vintage. so cheery and lovely! It reminds me a lot of our childhood room as my mom did a rainbow theme, and well, we had most of those old toys!

well, i'm late to the party, but last week Dallas and I made our way out to the city for the Renegade Craft Fair. Despite the horrible traffic and 1 hour spent looking for a parking spot, we both had a great time. Dallas was a doll and happy as a clam in his stroller, smiling at all the ladies.
Got to visit the booth of my favorite poster shop (which i talk about often) The Poster List. They were so nice. Thanks for the awesome poster... again!
Also, I had to buy some postcards from Rebecca of Rar Rar Press. I've gotten a few from her etsy store before, but seeing them all there in person was too tempting not to snag some more.
We also got to meet up with my lovely friend Lisa and her daughter Frankie and their little puppy Ollie.
All in all it was a great day, can't wait for next year!
i'm not sure, nor do i care, but we liked the name, and he is such "a Dallas"
but i just saw this post over at ohdeedoh and they used our pic of Dallas's pennant as the photo for the article. made me smile.
and an fyi, his is a literary name, from The Outsiders, Dallas (Dally) Winston. However lately I just call him Porky Pig cause of all that lovable baby chub!
well, actually it isn't my first one, cause i made this back before Dallas was born, but i didn't have any real binding on that one, I just sewed it together inside out and then pulled it through. Also it wasn't quilted.
So this is my first REAL quilt. It was really hard to give away, but I made it for a good friend for her nursery. I gave it to her at the baby shower I went to back in June.
It was quilted by Angi's MILs best friend for an incredible deal. I just love how the quilting looks. Can't wait to see what it looks like after a few more washings as the all the wrinkles and krinkles really come out.
I also made an extra block for myself... i figure if I make one for myself each month then I can make a sampler quilt at the end.
String blocks are really easy and so addicting. Can't wait to see what block we do next month.
okay so i won't hang this with a wee one in the house but i still love it.
